Welcome to Visual Arts!
The Visual Arts Program of the Florence Academy of Fine Arts is designed to turn young people into young adults with the ability to work independently as well as in groups to solve the pressing problems facing the world today.
Visual Arts touch every aspect of life, from the clothes people wear to the cars they drive, to the houses they call home.
One can literally not go anywhere that an artist has not already been.
Visual Art prepares students to create a more beautiful and harmonious world. Visual Art is, in truth, Life 101.
Meet the Instructors
Lisa Tyler
9th Grade Art
Bio
Lisa Tyler has been in the Florence area for almost 20 years. Lisa has been teaching art in Florence for the past 7 years. Mrs. Tyler has been pursuing art for over 40 years. She enjoys sharing the many opportunities art allows by giving students the chance to try and explore different techniques and materials. She believes everyone is “Created to be creative”, so everyone can be successful in their art. When she isn’t creating, Mrs. Tyler enjoys being on the river, in the woods, thrifting, and spending time with family and friends.
